What is a Site Coordinator?
Pima / Santa Cruz Tech Prep Site Coordinators provide on-site leadership at participating high schools. Each one is a certified teacher selected by the school principal and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director and then approved by the Tech Prep Director. Site coordinators receive an annual fee for their efforts on behalf of the program.
Summary of Site Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Communicate Tech Prep news, issues and events to faculty, parents, students, counselors, school administrators and CTE directors.
• Communicate relevant news, issues and events that involve faculty, parents, students, counselors, school administrators or CTE directors to the Tech Prep Director.
• Increase student and faculty participation in Tech Prep programs.
• Promote Tech Prep by presenting to faculty, parents and students.
• Promote Tech Prep by distributing and displaying Tech Prep materials.
• Perform periodic self-assessments and assist external evaluators.
• Document and report all Tech Prep activity including student participation, meeting agendas and outcomes.
